Slovenia November 2018: Renault Clio back in charge, VW Polo up in market down 17.5%
VW Polo Slovenian sales soar 173% thanks to the new generation.
New car sales in Slovenia sink 17.5% year-on-year in November to 5.192 units, with the year-to-date tally now up 3.5% to 69.192. Volkswagen (+2%) goes agains the grain with a year-on-year uptick to 15.9% share vs. 16.4% year-to-date. In contrast, Hyundai (-39%) and Renault (-30%) both fall much faster than the market in the Top 5 but Opel (+11%) posts the only double-digit gain in the Top 10, Peugeot (+0.4%) manages stable sales while Skoda (-7%) manages to contain its fall. Further down, Jeep (+400%), Mercedes (+138%), Mitsubishi (+125%), Volvo (+68%), Mazda (+64%), Mini (+43%) and Suzuki (+16%) stand out. Over in the models ranking, the Renault Clio (-2%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date, distancing the VW Golf (-33%), Skoda Octavia (-7%) and the VW Polo (+173%) pushed up by its new generation. The Fiat 500 (+193%), Opel Corsa (+75%) and Skoda Fabia (+31%) also post spectacular gains in the remainder of the Top 10 while the VW T-Roc (#18) tops recent launches above the Citroen C4 Spacetourer (#41), Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (#106) and Peugeot Rifter (#107).
