Moldova August 2018: Dacia Duster up 159% to capture #1 rank

The Dacia Duster is the best-selling vehicle in Moldova in August.

According to our Central European market data partner CE Auto, the Moldovan new car market shoots up 11.2% year-on-year in August to 526 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 27.6% to 4.104 units. The new generation boosts Dacia Duster sales up 159% to #1 this month and for the first time since last November, overtaking the Toyota RAV4 (+76%) to earn the #2 YTD spot (+116%). Meanwhile the Hyundai Tucson (+32%) jumps 6 spots on July to #2, the Dacia Logan (-3%) is back up two ranks to #3, remaining by far the YTD leader at 7.6% share vs. 4.9% for the Duster. Notice also the Kia Sportage up 117% to #4 and the GAZ Sobol scoring a second consecutive Top 10 finish at #7.
