Another excellent month for new car sales in Bulgaria, up 28.9% year-on-year in July to 4.014 registrations, leading to a year-to-date volume up 18.5% to 25.185 units. There’s a big surprise atop the Bulgarian brands ranking this month: Skoda surges 99% on July 2017 to hit 11% share and take the lead, the Czech brand now up 50% to 9.6% year-to-date where it remains 3rd. Dacia (+7%) ranks 2nd once again at 10.6% share vs. 10.2% YTD while Renault (+14%) is down two spots on June to #3 and 9.2% share, markedly below its YTD #1 level of 11.7% (+27%). Nissan (+138%), Hyundai (+117%), Volkswagen (+65%) and Citroen (+49%) also vastly improve on the already very dynamic market growth, still inside the Top 10. Below, notice Mitsubishi (+240%), Subaru (+200%), Honda (+114%), Mercedes (+103%), Porsche (+89%) and Seat (+70%).
