Moldova May 2018: Toyota Prado breaks into Top 10 at #7

According to our Central European market data partner CE Auto, new car sales in Moldova shoot up 38.9% year-on-year in May to 586 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 29.4% to 2.437 registrations, basically selling in 5 months what it did in 6 in 2017. After being toppled from its throne for the first time this year by the Toyota RAV4 last month, the Dacia Logan reclaims command of the Moldovan market thanks to deliveries up 54% year-on-year to 9.7% share, above its 9.5% YTD level. The Toyota RAV4 soars another 83%, ranking #2 both in May and YTD. The Skoda Octavia (+88%), Renault Kadjar (+67%) and Dacia Duster (+42%) also lodge spectacular improvements inside the Top 10 where the Toyota Prado makes its very first appearance since BSCB started following Moldova monthly in 2013, directly at #7.
