Pakistan May 2018: Toyota up 20% in market up 5.3%

The Fortuner (+350%) helps Toyota up 11% in Pakistan in May.

Thanks to PAMA we can share with you May sales of locally-produced light vehicles in Pakistan, slowing down their growth at +5.3% to 21.813 for the month leading up to a YTD volume up 15.8% to a record 115.976 units. Brand leader Suzuki follows the market at +5% to maintain its share well above 53.4%, yet that is over two percentage points below its YTD level of 55.6%. Toyota pulls the market up thanks to deliveries up 20% to 27.1% share whereas Honda drops 9% to 19.5%. Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (+11%) comfortably remains in the lead above the Suzuki Mehran (+5%) with the Suzuki Wagon R surging 40% to 12.4% in third place. The Toyota Fortuner (+350%), Suzuki Swift (+52%), Toyota Hilux (+22%) and Suzuki Ravi (+12%) also shine.
