Latvia April 2018: Nissan Qashqai leads again but VW Golf #1 YTD

The Nissan Qashqai is #1 in Latvia for the 2nd month running.

According to data released by our partner JATO Dynamics, new car sales in Latvia are up 3.4% year-on-year in April to 1.465 registrations, meaning the YTD volume is now up 3.1% to 5.650. The Nissan Qashqai (+31%) is the best-selling vehicle in the country for the 2nd month in a row but the VW Golf (+71%) remains in the YTD lead thanks to deliveries up 79% so far this year. The Toyota RAV4 (+20%) and Auris (+51%) follow with the VW Passat (+38%) rounding up the Top 5 and the Tiguan (-9%) making it three VWs in the April Top 6. The Peugeot 2008, #8 this month, is now inside the YTD Top 10 a #9.
