Cyprus May 2018: Nissan Qashqai takes control

The Nissan Qashqai is now the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus so far in 2018.

Thanks to our partnership with SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, we can share with you today Cyprus new car sales data for May when the market drops 1.5% to 1.222 units. The year-to-date volume remains however in frank positive territory at +8.7% to 6.468 units. This month the Nissan Qashqai snaps the pole position both in the May charts (+33%) and year-to-date (+11%), knocking the Kia Rio down to #3 YTD. Note the Qashqai has led the annual charts in Cyprus once: in 2014. The Ford Kuga surges 152% to #2 and climbs to #5 YTD while the Toyota Yaris (-20%) rounds up the May podium and steps up to #2 YTD. The Ford Focus (+35%) is down three spots on April to #4, followed by the Toyota C-HR (-27%) and VW Golf (+163%). The Skoda Fabia (+107%) also post a spectacular gain while the Skoda Octavia and Citroen C1 make their entrance in the YTD Top 30.
