Slovenia April 2018: VW T-Roc breaks into Top 10
Slovenia is the second country in the world to welcome the VW T-Roc in its monthly Top 10.

New car sales in Slovenia gain 9.8% year-on-year in April to 6.592 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 9.3% to 26.998. Brand leaders Volkswagen (+15%) and Renault (+39%) both outpace the market to hit 18% and 15.3% share respectively vs. 15.8% and 13.7% so far in 2018. Skoda (+7%) rounds up the podium like YTD but loses share year-on-year with Peugeot (+21%) in frank progression ahead of Hyundai (+4%). Fiat triples its sales vs. April 2017 (+203%) with Kia deliveries the 2nd largest gain in the Top 10 at +68%. Seat also shines at +21% while further down Jaguar (+533%), Smart (+525%) and Porsche (+50%) stand out. Model-wise, the Renault Clio (+50%) and VW Polo (+51%) both post spectacular gains to hold onto the top of the ranking like last month, with the VW Golf (+2%) and Skoda Octavia (-27%) in tow while the Fiat Panda (+542%), Renault Captur (+86%) and Peugeot 2008 (+38%) also impress. The VW T-Roc is up 12 spots on March to break into the Top 10 at #10, making Slovenia only the second country in the world after Austria where the new crossover has managed this feat.
