Latvia March 2018: Nissan Qashqai reclaims lead but drops 32%

According to data released by our partner JATO Dynamics, new car sales in Latvia are down 2.8% in March to 1.402 units, but the YTD tally remains in positive at +3% to 4.185. Leader for the past three years but #2 so far in 2018, the Nissan Qashqai reclaims the monthly top spot off the VW Golf this month despite a steep 32% year-on-year drop vs. +129% for the Golf. The Toyota RAV4 (+44%) and VW Passat (+119%) also impress in the Top 4, while the Ford Focus (+56%) and Peugeot 308 (+13%) shine below. It’s a month to forget for the Kia Sportage (-58%) and Ford Fiesta (-35%).
