Only sales of locally-produced models are available for Uzbekistan, totalling 119.000 deliveries in 2017, up 3.7% on the year prior. A lot has happened since our last Uzbek update, namely the death of UZ-Daewoo, replaced by a new brand, Ravon (see Ravon’s Russian website here). The models have more or less remained the same, except for the market’s best-seller, still called Nexia but now branded Ravon R3 Nexia and a rebadge of the Chevrolet Aveo replacing the decades-old Uz-Daewoo Nexia itself a facelifted version of the 1985 Opel Kadett. Since March 2008, GM Uzbekistan is the successor of Uz-Daewoo Auto despite selling cars under the Uz-Daewoo brand until October 2015 when it was replaced by the new Ravon brand. The Ravon Nexia R3 drops a harsh 23% in 2017, now followed closely by the Chevrolet Damas (+36%) with the Ravon Gentra down one spot and 26% to #3. The Ravon R2 (aka Chevrolet Spark), Matiz and R4 (aka Chevrolet Cobalt) complete the ranking.
