Namibia Full Year 2017: Toyota Hilux and Nissan NP300 Hardbody on top

Thanks to our partnership with Lightstone and NAAMSA, here is official data for Namibia in 2017. Toyota remains the most popular carmaker in the country, with the Top 6 unchanged on last year: Volkswagen, Nissan, Ford, Isuzu and Chevrolet follow. Renault, Mazda and Suzuki break into the Top 10. Looking at passenger cars only, Toyota, Volkswagen and Ford dominate while Renault (#5), Mazda (#8) and Datsun (#9) appear in the Top 10. After dropping 19% in 2016, the Toyota Hilux loses another 18% this year but remains by far the best-selling vehicle in Namibia by a factor of 3.5 to 1 on the Nissan NP300/Hardbody, itself down 16% but up two spots to #2. The Ford Ranger (-24%) rounds up the podium ahead of the Toyota Fortuner (+7%) and Isuzu KB (-40%) making it four pickups in the Top 5 vs. 4 in the Top 4 in 2016. Both the VW Polo and the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup advance one rank to #6 and #7 respectively while the Toyota RAV4 and Corolla Quest break into the Top 10. In the Passenger cars charts, the VW Tiguan leaps up to #8 and the Nissan X-Trail replaces the Ford Ecosport in the Top 10.
