Bahrain November 2017: Toyota Land Cruiser leads, up 88%

New car sales in Bahrain are on the mend: they edge up 3% year-on-year in November to 2.963 units, but the year-to-date tally remains in stark negative territory at -24.2% to 32.933 deliveries. The Top 5 best-selling brands and unchanged on YTD with Toyota in the lead at a mammoth 38.9% share vs. 39.4% so far this year, followed by Nissan at 9.2%, Hyundai at 8.5%, Kia at 6.3% and Lexus at 5.5%. Mitsubishi is up two spots to #6, Suzuki up 12 to #9, BMW up two to #11 and Citroen up 10 to #18. Model-wise, the Top 4 is 100% Toyota like YTD, with the Land Cruiser up 88% year-on-year to 11.1% share vs. 9.8% so far this year, the Prado up 2% to 5.5%, the Camry down 30% to #3 and the Yaris up 10% to #4. The Mitsubishi Lancer EX is back up to #5 vs. #37 YTD but down 18% year-on-year. The Nissan Kicks by far outsells all other newcomers at #12: the next best thing is the Range Rover Velar at #67.
