Belgium November 2017: Mini & Tesla shine, Mercedes C-Class in Top 10

Mini sales are up 95% year-on-year in Belgium in November.

The Belgian new car market is stable in November at 39.645 registrations – exactly the same figure as November 2016! – leading to a year-to-date volume up 2.5% to 518.486 units. Renault is getting closer to ending the year in pole position with another strong score in November at 10.3% share vs. 9.5% for Volkswagen. Volkswagen now has a slim 176 sales-advantage over the French carmaker year-to-date at 47.325 vs. 47.149. Peugeot (+12%) remains on the podium, distancing BMW (-6%), Opel (+2%) and Audi (-0.3%). Mercedes (+13%) and Hyundai (+15%) are the only two other double-digit gainers inside the Top 10. Beyond, notice Mazda (+25%), Kia (+28%), Honda (+39%), Jeep (+52%), Subaru (+54%), Land Rover (+57%), Tesla (+65%) and Mini (+95%) all posting spectacular gains.

The Mercedes C-Class now ranks #10 year-to-date in Belgium.

In the models ranking, the VW Golf confirms is it back to the top spot with deliveries up 31% this month to 2.3% share, distancing the Renault Clio at 2.2% (-10%) and the Hyundai Tucson at 2.0% (+22%). The VW Polo (-9%) climbs to 4th place followed by the Opel Astra (+5%) but the Opel Corsa (-44%), BMW X1 (-33%) and Peugeot 2008 (-28%) freefall. The Mercedes C-Class knocks the Peugeot 208 out of the year-to-date Top 10.
