Slovenia October 2017: Renault up 71% to 19.7% share, market up 23%

New car sales in Slovenia are up 23% year-on-year in October to 6.446 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total up 11.6% to 60.561 units. This month Renault passes Volkswagen to snap the brands top spot thanks to volumes up a stunning 71% to 19.7% share vs. 13.8% so far in 2017. Volkswagen edges up 1% to 13.3% vs. 15.4%YTD, with Skoda (-16%) rounding up the podium. Hyundai (+34%), Mercedes (+55%), Nissan (+79%), Fiat (+146%), Honda (+184%) and Land Rover (+700%) all impress. It’s a Renault invasion in the models ranking, with five nameplates in the Top 7 but the pole position is once again held by the VW Golf (+113%) for the fourth time in the past five months. The Clio (+46%) ranks 2nd above the Kadjar (+1679%), with the Megane (-3%) at #5, the Scenic (+1560%) at #6 and the Captur (-27%) at #7. Notice also the Nissan Qashqai up 282% to #8, the Fiat 500 up 779% to #10 and the Ford Focus up 142% to #11. The Opel Crossland X leads recent launches at #40 while the Kia Stonic lands directly at #45.
