Pakistan September 2017: Suzuki Mehran, WagonR shine in market up 17%

Suzuki Mehran sales are up 43% year-on-year in Pakistan this month.

Sales of locally-assembled cars in Pakistan are up a very robust 17% year-on-year in September to 18.798 units, lifting the year-to-date total up 15% to 176.056 units. Both Suzuki (+3%) and Toyota (+4%) trail the market growth, with most of the gain delivered by Honda (+24%) thanks to the addition of the BR-V now accounting fort 3.5% of the market. The Toyota Corolla is once again the best-selling nameplate in Pakistan despite a 7% drop to 21.9% share, ahead of the Suzuki Mehran surging 43% to 19.6% while the Suzuki Ravi (+4%) rounds up the podium at 8.9%. Just below, the Suzuki WagonR soars 60% to 8.8% with the Suzuki Cultus (+33%), Toyota Hilux (+77%) and Fortuner (+656%) also delivering spectacular gains.
