Portugal July 2017: Mégane doubles sales YoY in market up 27.8%

Renault Megane sales are up 102% year-on-year in Portugal in July.

Quick models update for Portugal in July before the complete rankings return for August. Portuguese new car sales are up a whopping 27.8% year-on-year in July to 19.975 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 9.6% to 147.161. The Top 10 best-selling models year-to-date remain unchanged on last month, with the Renault Clio sovereign at 6.4% share (+24%) above the Peugeot 208 at 3.6% (+16%). In July the Renault Megane doubles its sales year-on-year (+102%) to climb up to 2nd place, teasing the Clio at 4.2% share vs. 4.7%. The VW Polo is up 271% on discounts for the outgoing generation and the Citroen C3 up 169% thanks to the new model. The Opel Corsa (+30%) and BMW 1 Series (+33%) also shine in July.
