Moldova August 2017: Dacia Logan MCV soars to #1, 7 SUVs in Top 10

Thanks to our Central European market data partner CE Auto, we can share with you August data for Moldova, a market up a whopping 51% year-on-year to 473 units, lifting the year-to-date total up 31% to 3.215 sales. For its first Top 10 appearance since last April and potentially due to the introduction of a Stepway variant, the Dacia Logan MCV soars directly to #1 thanks to 32 sales, up 8-fold on a year ago. It distances the traditional market leader, the Dacia Logan, by just one unit. The Skoda Octavia is up 263% to #3, the Hyundai Tucson down 11% to #4 and the Suzuki Vitara up 229% to #5. In fact, 7 of the Top 10 best-sellers are SUVs: follow the Toyota RAV4, Dacia Duster, Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and Skoda Kodiaq – for its 2nd consecutive Top 10 ranking.
