Slovenia February 2017: Renault up 67%, Hyundai Tucson on podium
The Hyundai Tucson is up to third place in February in Slovenia.

New car sales in Slovenia are up by a splendid 19% year-on-year to 5.680 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 15% to 12.152. In the brands ranking, Renault (+67%) misses out on the top spot by just one unit at 844 vs. 845 for Volkswagen (+10%). Skoda (+3%), Opel (-11%) and Ford (+9%) round up the Top 5 but it’s Hyundai (+68%), Nissan (+75%) and Dacia (+97%) that fare the best in the Top 10, with Citroen also up a strong 40% in 10th place. Further down, notice Suzuki (+42%), Mercedes (+42%), Mini (+79%) and Honda (+160%). The Renault Clio (+138%) retains the Top spot it held both in January and for the past 19 years, ahead of the Skoda Octavia (-12%) while the Hyundai Tucson soars 127% to land at #3, the nameplate’s second podium finish in the past three months. The VW Tiguan is up 8-fold year-on-year thanks to the new generation but down one spot on January to #5 while further down the Dacia Sandero is up 288%, the Fiat 500X up 223%, the Hyundai i20 up 214% and the Citroen C3 up 154%.
