Hungary February 2017: Dacia Duster shines in market up 27%

New car sales in Hungary are up 21% year-on-year in February to 8.000 registrations, with Suzuki reclaiming the top spot it held over the FY2016 thanks to deliveries up 27% to 872. Opel gains three spots on last month to land in 2nd place, Skoda is up 25% year-on-year but stays in third place and last month’s leader, Ford, tumbles down to #4 despite deliveries up 24% on February 2016. Inside the Top 10, Dacia gains a gargantuan 167% to #5 while Toyota is up 53% to #5 but all other manufacturers underperform, with Volkswagen (-10%) and Kia (-12%) in negative. Model-wise, the Suzuki Vitara remains the top seller at 560 units but the Dacia Duster surges 289% to #2, knocking the Skoda Octavia (+22%) down to #3 ahead of the Ford Focus (+27%), The Opel Astra K is down three spots to #6 and the Renault Clio is up 4 to #10.
