New car sales in Lithuania are up by a flamboyant 18.8% year-on-year in 2016 to 20.284 registrations, however it is to be noted that an estimated 20-30% of all new cars registered in this market are immediately re-exported to other European Union markets due to their low selling price here. Fiat cements its domination further with a 24% surge leading to a 16,6% market share, comfortably ahead of Volkswagen at 13% (+4%) and Toyota at 11.9% (+28%).
