The Swiss new car market is stable in November with deliveries up just 0.4% year-on-year to 26.414, leading to a year-to-date tally down 3% to 281.993 units. Volkswagen (+2%) and Mercedes (+12%) outpace the market atop the brands ranking while BMW (-10%) and Audi (-1%) underperform just below. Skoda (+14%), Ford (+17%), Toyota (+22%), Volvo (+29%), Mini (+16%) and Kia (+22%) all shine inside the Top 20. Over in the models aisle, the VW Tiguan brilliantly snaps the pole position thanks to the new generation of the model boosting sales up 219% to 1.019. The Skoda Octavia (+16%) ranks 2nd with 946 units while the VW Golf (-29%) struggles at 916 deliveries. This means the Octavia still leads the year-to-date ranking above the Golf (10.566 vs. 10.127) with just one month to go. Keep in mind the Golf has led the annual Swiss rankings for 23 consecutive years. The Mercedes C-Class (+53%), Skoda Fabia (+42%), BMW X1 (+39%), VW Touran (+131%), Mini Cooper (+50%), Mercedes GLC (+37%) and Volvo XC60 (+53%) all post spectacular gains within the Top 20. The Audi Q2 (#71) and Toyota C-HR (#86) both make their first appearances in the Swiss ranking this month.
