The Malaysian new car market continues to struggle: after dropping 14% in October, it is down another 12.5% in November to 49.085 registrations, pulling the year-to-date tally down 14% to 515.293 units. For once, Proton (+2%) is the manufacturer in the Top 6 to resist the best to this adversary environment: it is even the only one registering a year-on-year gain. Market leaders Perodua (-9%) and Honda (-4%) outpace the market but below Proton, Toyota (-33%), Nissan (-18%) and Isuzu (-13%) fare worse. Mercedes (+5%) and most impressively BMW (+22%) fare the best in the Top 10. Further down, Hino (+24%), Subaru (+49%), Mitsubishi Fuso (+19%), Volvo (+48%) and Chevrolet (+28%) shine inside the Top 20.
