The Venezuelan new car market continues to contract with October sales down 61% to just 235 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down 83% to 2.597. Only two manufacturers survive in Venezuela: Ford (+55%) holding a 62.1% share and Toyota (-25%) at 35.3%. After one month of Toyota Hilux domination celebrating the Japanese brand’s return in the country, the Ford Explorer resumes its reign with 19.1% share, cementing its YTD pole position at 27.7% share and distancing the Hilux (16.6%), Ford F-350 (14.5%) and Toyota Fortuner (11.9%).
