According to data shared with us by Central European market data specialists CE Auto, the Serbian new car market is up by a splendid 25% year-on-year in July to 2.282 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 26% to 16.303. Local publication VreleGume reports more modest figures at 2.131 for July and 15.763 YTD. Fiat remains the most popular manufacturer in the country at 16.2% share ahead of Skoda at 13.8%, Renault at 10.9%, Hyundai at 8.8% and Opel at 8.3%. Model-wise, the locally-produced Fiat 500L is the best-seller for the 5th consecutive month at 5.2% share. Jeep Renegade sales reported earlier were in fact a mistake from the data source. The updated ranking shows the Opel Astra in 2nd place above the Skoda Octavia, Renault Clio, Hyundai i30 and Tucson.
