Israel April 2016: Hyundai up 52% to cement lead in market up 30%

Thanks to a partnership with cartube.co.il we can now share with you brands data for Israel in April – models data is now a quarterly occurrence. The Israeli new car market is up a whopping 30% year-on-year this month to 22.927 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 113.534 units, up 16% on the same period last year. Boosted by the new Tucson as we’ve witnessed last month, Hyundai is up 52% to a splendid 3.139 sales and 13.7% share, distancing sister brand Kia at 2.960 and 12.9% (+16%) while Toyota loses significant share at 2.549 units and 11.2% (+2%). Skoda (+63%), Mitsubishi (+53%), Chevrolet (+167%), Seat (+55%), Volkswagen (+47%), Peugeot (+92%), Fiat (+47%) and Ford (+201%) all frankly beat the market.
