Denmark April 2016: Peugeot 208 dominant in record market

The Peugeot 208 is the best-selling nameplate in Denmark by far.

Ever resourceful, the Danish new car market gallops further away with April sales up 17% year-on-year to an all-time high 19.886 deliveries, adding up to 72.150 year-to-date (+8%). Volkswagen holds onto the top spot for less than 100 units at 2.077 vs. 1.983 for Peugeot with Toyota up one spot on March to #3, Citroen up three to #4 and Skoda up one to #5. The Peugeot 208 dominates the models ranking head and shoulders thanks to 831 sales and 4.2% share, distancing the VW Up (2.6%), Ford Fiesta (2.5%) and Peugeot 308 (2.4%). Outstanding performers this month also include the Citroen C1 at #5, Opel Astra at #12 and Audi A4 at #20.
