Chile April 2016: Hyundai up 57% to #1 but trails Chevrolet YTD

After three consecutive months in positive, the Chilean market is back in troubled waters in April with sales down 3% to 22.401 units. The year-to-date total is still up 7% on the same period in 2015 at 92.509 units. Despite holding the top spot for the past three months with sales up 57% in April to 2.174 and 9.7% share, Korean manufacturer Hyundai still lags behind Chevrolet year-to-date at 8.672 deliveries (-9%) vs. 8.789 (-43%) for the American carmaker and 8.513 (-25%) for Kia in third place. In the Top 10, Suzuki (+11%), Peugeot (+50%) and Ford (+30%) gain ground.
