Vietnam August 2015: New model pushes Toyota Camry up to #5
The Toyota Camry improves further to #5 in Vietnam in July.

New car sales in Vietnam are up a whopping 45% year-on-year in August to 18.236 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 142.077 units, up an even more impressive 57% on 2014. Brand-wise, Thaco-Kia (26.3%) still dominates Toyota (21.3%) when including medium-heavy commercials, above Mazda at 8.6%, Ford at 7.4%, Isuzu at 3.1% and Hino at 2.8%. The Toyota Vios remains the most popular vehicle in the country with 5.8% share above the Toyota Innova at 4.5% and the Kia Morning edging itself onto the podium at 4.3%. The Toyota Fortuner (#4) awaits the benefits of its generation while the Toyota Camry (#5) does so already and ranks at its best in one year. The Mazda2 continues to progress at #15 vs. #25 year-to-date as does the Mitsubishi Attrage at #26 vs. #36.
