Austria August 2015: Hyundai jumps to #2 overall
Hyundai is the 2nd best-selling manufacturer in Austria below just Volkswagen.

Good news keep coming from the Austrian new car market: up another 7% year-on-year in August to 22.677 registrations, meaning the year-to-date total is now down just 0.6% on 2014 at 211.227 units. Not satisfied with dominating the brands ranking as usual, Volkswagen also frankly outpaces the market at +18% to 4.640 units and 20.5%, followed this month by Hyundai up 15% to 1.678 sales and 7.4%. Opel (+2%) rounds up the podium above Audi (+8%), Renault (+32%) and Ford (-7%). Notice also in ranking order Fiat (+56%), Mazda (+25%), Mitsubishi (+106%), Suzuki (+72%), Mini (+60%), Jeep (+307%) and Alfa Romeo (+87%) in great shape.
The Mitsubishi ASX is only 8 units away from a Top 10 ranking in Austria this month.
For the first time in BSCB history and from now onwards we give you a full All-models ranking for Austria. The podium is 100% Volkswagen this month with the Golf followed by the Polo and Tiguan. The Skoda Octavia (#4), Audi A3 (#7), VW Sharan (#8), VW Passat (#9) and Skoda Fabia (#10) make it eight Volkswagen Group models in the Top 10. The Hyundai i20 surges 13 spots on July to #5, the Renault Clio is up 7 to #6, the Mitsubishi ASX is up to #11 vs. #44 year-to-date, the BMW 2 Series up to #12, BMW 1 Series up to #17 vs. #58 year-to-date, the Hyundai Tucson breaks into the Austrian Top 30 at #29, the Mazda CX-3 is up to #35, the Suzuki Vitara up to #47, the Opel Karl up to #62 and the Renault Kadjar up to #86.
