Vietnam July 2015: Market continues to surge at +61%

The Vietnamese new car market continues on its dynamic run this year with July sales up a gargantuan 61% year-on-year to 20.349 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total up 59% to 123.841 units. Year-to-date, sales of locally assembled CKD (Completely Knocked Down) vehicles are up 56% to 91.751 while new imports (CBU – Completely Built Up) are up 67% to 58.803. In the passenger models ranking, Toyota continues to monopolise the podium, but in a different order this time: below the Vios at 6.3% comes the Innova at 4.8% and the Fortuner at 4.2% while the Kia Morning and Mazda3 are both up one spot on last month to #4 and #5 respectively. Boosted by the new model, the Toyota Camry resists at #7 vs. #13 year-to-date. Notice also the Mazda2 up 22 ranks on June to #16.
