Europe June 2015: Now with Top 340 All-models and All-brands
First European Top 50 ranking for the Citroen C4 Cactus.

After looking at the June Top 10 models and brands for Europe, we now have access to refined and complete data as is the tradition on BSCB. The overall total registrations for June in 28 European countries (list available in footnote) is 1.403.441, up a splendid 14.5% on June 2014 and lifting the year-to-date total halfway through 2015 to 7.370.832 units, up 8% or almost 570.000 deliveries year-on-year. The Top 10 brands remain unchanged on preliminary figures published 15 days ago with Volkswagen (+18%), Renault (+5%), Ford (+15%) and Opel/Vauxhall (+9%) leading the way and Audi (+17%), Mercedes and Skoda (both at +16%) also outpacing the market. Widening the net to the Top 30 brands, Jeep performs best at +176% followed by Smart (+89%), Mitsubishi (+52%), Land Rover (+45%), Mini (+32%), Mazda (+23%), Volvo and Nissan (+22%). Further down, Lamborghini (+92%), Ssangyong (+82%) and Tesla (+71%) shine.
The BMW 2 Series is up to a record #39 European ranking thanks to the Active Tourer.
The Top 10 models we originally detailed is confirmed in its integrality, with the big event being the Renault Captur hitting a high note of #7 thanks to sales up 15% on June last year. The Opel Astra (+12%), Skoda Octavia (+13%) and Peugeot 308 (+20%) just miss out, all selling upwards of 20.000 units in June. The best improvements in the Top 30 are delivered by the Opel Mokka (+59%), Skoda Fabia (+62%), Mercedes C-Class (+64%) and Mini (+67%). Further down, the BMW 2 Series breaks into the European Top 40 for the first time thanks to the arrival of the Active Tourer with sales up 6-fold to #39 and the Citroen C4 Cactus celebrates its first year in market by making a virgin run into the Top 50 at #48.
The Renault Kadjar is among Europe’s Top 100 best-sellers in June.
Among recent launches, the Fiat 500X continues to climb the ladder at #60, the Jeep Renegade is down 9 spots on May to #87, the Renault Kadjar breaks into the Top 100 at #88, the Smart Forfour is down 5 ranks to #109, the Nissan Pulsar falls 24 to #120 and the Land Rover Discovery Sport loses 4 spots to #124. Three nameplates that made their first appearance in the European charts last month shave a large chunk off their May spots: the Opel Karl is up 113 ranks to #127, the Mazda CX-3 up 50 to #146 and the Jaguar XE up 44 to #158. Finally, the Hyundai Tucson, whose nameplate has been revived to replace the ix35, reappears in the ranking at #269.
