Colombia July 2015: Renault catches up on Chevy in stabilising market
Renault sales are up 12% year-on-year in Colombia despite an ageing range.

After two consecutive months in hell at -16% (April and May), Colombian new car sales seem to be stabilising: -3% in June, and now -4% in July to 26.608 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 162.309 units, down 5.5% on 2014. Chevrolet takes a beating at -16% but stays on top of the brands ranking with 23.1% share, while Renault, despite still selling previous generations Clio, Sandero and Logan, is up 12% to 18.1% share. Kia (+1%), Nissan (+23%) and Ford (-13%) follow while Mazda (+96%), Suzuki (+67%) and Mercedes (+23%) lodge the largest year-on-year gains. All Chinese carmakers in the Top 30 take a plunge: Chery (-27%), JAC (-34%), Dongfeng (-22%), Foton (-43%) and Great Wall (-11%).
