The Vietamese new car market is up an astounding 72% year-on-year in June to 18.686 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total halfway through 2015 to 103.492 units, up an even more impressive 88% on 2014. This makes Vietnam one of the most dynamic new car markets in the world, if not the most dynamic. Thaco-Kia continues to dominate the manufacturers ranking mainly thanks to commercial vehicles at 28.2% share, ahead of Toyota at 22.9%, Ford at 8.7% and Mazda at 7.2%. All other manufacturers hold less that 4% share each. In the models ranking, the Toyota Vios continues to dominate the sales charts with another 1.106 sales and 5.9%, above the Fortuner at 4.6% and the Innova at 4.5%. After a splendid 2nd place in May, the Ford Ranger is down to #4 but up to the same 4th position year-to-date, overtaking the Toyota Corolla down to a paltry #9 this month. The Mazda3 is back up 6 spots to #6, the Toyota Camry is solid at #7 and the Kia Rio is up 6 to #12.
