Uganda 1st Half 2015: Top 4 best-sellers are all pickup trucks
The Nissan Hardbody holds 10.1% of the Ugandan new vehicle market so far in 2015.

New vehicle sales in Uganda are down 7% year-on-year halfway through 2015 to 1.258 registrations in a market still largely dominated by Toyota at 37.4% share. Indian Tata shoots up to 2nd position at 14.9% thanks to very strong sales of heavy commercials and is followed by Mitsubishi (13.6%), Nissan (11.7%) and Ford (8.1%). The rest of the manufacturers present in the country share the remaining 14% of the market. In the models ranking (excluding medium and heavy commercials), the Top 4 best-sellers are all pickup trucks: the Toyota Hilux wins for now at 17.5% share above the Nissan Hardbody at 10.1%, Mitsubishi L200 at 8.2% and Ford Ranger at 7.5%. The Toyota Land Cruiser, #2 in FY 2014, is down to 5th place.
