Sweden June 2015: Volvo XC90 remains outside Top 20

The Swedish car market is unstoppable in 2015: up another 12% year-on-year in June to 32.257 registrations, lifting the half-year total up 11% to 167.984 deliveries. Volvo even outpaces the market with sales up 16% to 6.596 and 20.4% share vs. 19.9% year-to-date, followed by Volkswagen (-2%), Toyota (+24%), Audi (+12%) and BMW (+18%). Hyundai is up a whopping 31% year-on-year and 5 spots on May to 7th overall, while Nissan (+33%), Fiat (+35%), Subaru (+38%), Opel (+43%), Mini (+95%), Porsche (+98%) and Jeep (+183%) also impress.
The Hyundai i30 is up 74% year-on-year to #14 overall this month in Sweden.
The Volvo V70 unsurprisingly remains the most popular nameplate in its domestic market, even outperforming the market at +20% over June 2014 to 2.478 sales and 7.7% share, as do the VW Golf (+24%) and Volvo XC60 (+32%) in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Inside the Top 20, the Audi A6 (+39%), Skoda Octavia (+61%), Toyota Avensis (+66%), Hyundai i30 (+74%) and Renault Captur (+41%) also shine, while the new generation Volvo XC90 is stuck in 26th position for now with 334 sales and a round 1% market share.
