New car sales in Slovenia are up a very robust 13% year-on-year in June to 5.446 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 31.829 units, also up 13% on 2014. Volkswagen (14.7%) and Renault (11.2%) continue to lead the brands ranking while Opel (10.5%) overtakes Skoda (8.9%) to round up the podium. Dacia also shines in 5th place, and 7% share, up 73% so far in 2015. Year-to-date, Ford is up 29%, Kia up 22%, Nissan up 84%, Mazda up 45%, Alfa Romeo up 118% and Mitsubishi up 123%. In the models ranking, we witness a historical move: for the first time ever, the Dacia Duster surges to #1 in Slovenia thanks to 302 sales and 5.6% share, beating its previous best of #2 hit last October when it, interestingly, delivered a higher market share (6.1%).

The VW Golf and Renault Clio both gain one spot on May to #2 and #3 respectively, the Skoda Octavia is down two to #4 and the VW Passat is stable at an outstanding 5th place. Notice also the Skoda Fabia solid at #6, the Opel Astra up to #9, the Opel Meriva up 19 ranks on last month to #16, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta up 23 to #32, and a slew on all-new SUVs making their way up the ladder: the Suzuki Vitara at #47, Fiat 500X at #48, Mazda CX-3 at #54 and Renault Kadjar at #56.
