Saudi Arabia 1st Quarter 2015: Hyundai Accent leaps up to #2

The Saudi new car market is up a robust 9% year-on-year over the First Quarter of 2015 to 211.444 registrations. Toyota is master in command once again with 71.755 deliveries and just under 34% share (vs. 36% in 2014), ahead of Hyundai at 18.9% (vs. 17.7%) and Nissan leaping up to 9.4% compared to 6.9% last year. Isuzu gains one spot to #4 while Kia drops two to #5, Ford and Chevrolet are stable, Mazda is up four to #8 and 2.2% share and GMC brilliantly rounds up the Saudi Top 10. If the Toyota Hilux stays in command of the models ranking, the Hyundai Accent surprises by leaping up 18% to 2nd place overall, overtaking the Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla compared to the FY2014 ranking. Below, the Isuzu D-Max is up 34% year-on-year at #8, the Isuzu NPR is up 3 spots to #9, the Nissan Sunny up 28% to #11 and Hyundai Tucson up 118% to #18.
