Greece April 2015: VW Polo and Opel Corsa in the lead

The Greek new car market is up a fantastic 43% year-on-year in April to 7.801 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 25.072 units, up 14% on 2014. Volkswagen holds the right end of the stick in the brands ranking with sales outsmarting the market at +56% to 12.2% share above Toyota up just 6% to 10.5% but still #1 year-to-date, Opel up 35% to 9.3%, Nissan up 111% to 8.7% share and Peugeot up 269% to 6.3%. Notice also Renault up 74%, Hyundai up 90%, Citroen up 97%, Audi up 113%, Kia up 125% and Jeep up… 20-fold.
The Suzuki Celerio breaks into the Greek Top 20 in April.
This month both the VW Polo (445 units) and Opel Corsa (430) outsell the year-to-date market leader the Toyota Yaris (392) with the Peugeot 208 and Nissan Qashqai rounding up the Top 5. The Opel Astra is up 13 spots on March to #11, the Toyota Aygo up 8 to #12, Suzuki Celerio up 11 to #16, VW Passat up 34 to #22, Smart Forfour up 56 to #28, Jeep Renegade up 49 to #35 and the Suzuki Vitara holding its place inside the Top 50 at #46 for its 2nd month of sales in Greece.
