Taiwan March 2015: CMC Veryca and Delica push up

New car sales in Taiwan are down slightly year-on-year in March at -1% to 33,892 registrations, however first quarter results are frankly into positive territory, up 7% on 2014 to 106,811 units. Toyota leads the way as usual with 26.2% of the market, followed by Mitsubishi/CMC at 10.6%, Nissan/Infiniti at 10% and Honda at 6.4%. Mercedes is up to a fantastic 5th place with 5.8% share, BMW is up to #8 and 4.6% and local manufacturer Luxgen remains inside the Top 10 with 1,205 sales and 3.6% share. In the models ranking, below the Toyota Corolla (weak at 7.5% share), the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan Tiida round up the podium while the two CMC models (the LCV arm of Mitsubishi Taiwan) spark up this month: the Veryca is up to 5th place with 1,074 deliveries while the Delica is up to #10 thanks to 823 units sold. The Luxgen U6 Turbo ranks #13, the Mercedes C-Class is up to #16, the Lexus NX at #23 and the Hyundai Santa Fe at #25.
