The Venezuelan new vehicle market is very slowly crawling back to a better place: up 26% on last month to a still very timid 2,793 registrations, down 53% on November 2013. The year-to-date total now stands at 18,433 units, down 81% on 2013. Ford reclaims the brand leadership it holds year-to-date thanks to 767 sales and a very strong 27.5% market share, partly due to a Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup in exceptional shape at 331 deliveries and 11.9% share. General Motors follows closely at 25.9%, with Toyota (19.3%), Chrysler (9.7%) and Chinese importer Civetchi (6.4%) rounding up the Top 5. Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla is also strong at #2 and 10.6% share as is the Jeep Cherokee at #3 and 9.3% and the Chevrolet C-3500 pickup at #4 and 9.2%. The Civetchi Pick-up (aka Dongfeng Utah) keeps the year-to-date lead at 3,063 units and 16.6% but is down to #9 and 4.3% this month.
