Better late than never! We now have access to the Top 12 best-sellers in Tunisia over the first 7 months of 2014. No surprises on top: the Renault Symbol remains the best-seller in the country by far, helped by the arrival of the new generation. It sells 2,623 units over 7 months or a 4.500 sales annual rate, well above the 4,033 it sold over the Full Year 2013. Traditionally very stable because dictated by annual brand quotas, the Tunisian models ranking gets a complete reshuffle this year: the Kia Rio shoots up to 2nd place thanks to 1,649 sales so far, almost as much as its FY2013 figure (1,841), an outstanding popularity I did notice during my stay in Djerba last July (see the Djerba Island Photo Report here).

The Isuzu D-Max rounds up the podium whereas it only ranked #10 last year. Its 1,626 sales over 7 months in 2014 are already above the 1,304 units it sold over the Full Year 2013. The Fiat Punto is down one spot to #4, the Peugeot 301 is stable at #5 while its twin the Citroen C-Elysée is up 7 ranks to #6 and the Citroen Nemo is up 4 to #7, making Citroen the only brand to place two nameplates inside the Tunisian Top 7. Renault place two models in the Top 9. Notice also the Seat Ibiza up 6 spots on its FY2013 ranking to #8, the Mitsubishi L200 up a gargantuan 23 ranks to #10 and the all-new Hyundai Grand i10 landing directly at #12.
