Including Light Commercial Vehicles, the Belgian market adds up to 58,676 units in April (one month delay this time) and 223,015 year-to-date. This month Renault edges Volkswagen out for the manufacturer pole position at 6,533 sales and 11.1% vs. 6,351 and 10.8% and mainly thanks to a surge from the Renault Mégane: up 15 spots on March to… #1 with 2,185 units and 3.7% ahead of the VW Golf at 3.1% and the Renault Clio at 2.3%. However both Volkswagen (9.8%) and the VW Golf (2.9%) remain year-to-date leaders.
Similarly to what is happening in Germany, premium brands Audi (#5) and BMW (#6) are now above mass ones Ford (#7) and Opel (#8). Dacia holds onto its Top 10 spot (#10), Skoda is up two ranks to #12, Volvo is solid at #15 and 3% share, passing Fiat (2.9%).
