New car sales in Greece enjoy a 6th month in a row of year-on-year growth at +2% in April to 5,444 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 22,046 units, up a splendid 13% on 2013. Brand-wise, the April sales charts get back to a big more ‘normality’ after Nissan hijacked it last month with 17% share: Toyota is back in pole position with a very strong 14.1% share ahead of Volkswagen at 11.2%, passing Opel year-to-date to also rank #2. Notice Suzuki up 3 spots to #4 and 6.5% and BMW solid at #10 and 3.8%. Model-wise, the Opel Corsa reclaims the top spot thanks to 367 sales and 6.7%, now threatening the Toyota Yaris year-to-date at 1,315 units vs. 1,339…

VW Up! Greece April 2014The VW Up is among the 10 most popular vehicles in Greece this month.

Thanks to another robust month (5.4% share), the VW Polo is now #3 year-to-date like it was in 2013. The performer of the month is the runout-boosted Toyota Aygo up 27 spots on March to land at a fantastic 5th place whereas the new model is not coming to dealerships before June. Notice also the VW Up up a massive 20 ranks to #8, the BMW 1 Series up a further 4 spots to #9 vs. #21 year-to-date, the Peugeot 208 up 14 to #20, the Lancia Ypsilon solid at #25 and the Mercedes CLA shining at #40.
