Greece January 2014: Citroen C4 up to #4 in market up 15%

The Greek new car market delivers its third consecutive month of frank year-on-year gain in January, up 15% to 6,385 registrations. The Top 2 best-sellers are unchanged vs. FY2013: the Toyota Yaris leads the way thanks to 431 sales and 6.8% ahead of the Opel Corsa at 378 units and 5.9%, while the Hyundai i20 climbs onto the podium thanks to 314 sales and 4.9% share. The best performance of the month is delivered by the Citroen C4, up 23 spots on December to shoot up to 4th place at 308 units and 4.8%, potentially because of the diesel model starting at €13,900 instead of €18,350 this month.
The Toyota Yaris remains the best-selling model in Greece this month.
The Skoda Octavia doesn’t do too badly either, up 37 ranks to #7 and 3.1% share vs. #30 and 1% over FY 2013… Notice also the Ford Focus up to #16 vs. #31, Nissan Note up to #18 vs. #91, Audi Q3 up to #20 vs. #53, Suzuki SX4 at #24 vs. #66 and the Opel Mokka at #26 vs. #69. Toyota dominates the brands ranking as it did over FY2013 thanks to 737 sales and 11.5%, followed by Opel at 672 units and 10.5% vs. #3 and 9.5% in 2013. Citroen is up a great 7 spots on December to land in third position thanks to 573 sales and 9.1% vs. 5.7% in 2013, while Hyundai remains 4th at 7.4% and Volkswagen is down to 5th and 7% vs. #2 and 10.8% in 2013. Notice also Audi up to #10, Renault up to #12 and Chevrolet up to #18.
