The Danish new car market doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, up a huge 33% year-on-year in December to 14,257 registrations, which brings the final 2013 total to an all-time record 182,198 units, up 7% on 2012 which was already a record-breaking year… The VW Up! lodges an unbelievable 17th consecutive month a the top of Danish monthly sales charts thanks to 1,149 units sold for a strong 8.1% share. The Renault Clio IV is up two spots on November to follow in 2nd position with 595 sales and 4.2% while the Skoda Octavia climbs onto the podium at 491 units and 3.4% vs. #13 over the full year.

The Kolin triplets all fit within the Top 7 like over the full year: the Peugeot 107 is #4, the Citroen C1 #6 and Toyota Aygo #7. The remainder of the Bratislava triplets are markedly lower: the Skoda Citigo is #10 and the Seat Mii #21. In 8th position, the Citroen C4 Picasso brilliantly breaks into the Top 10, up a further 5 ranks on November with 388 sales and 2.7% while the Renault Captur gains another 8 spots to reach a best-ever #12 at 276 units and 1.9%. Notice also the Opel Insignia up a spectacular 32 ranks to #11, the Audi A4 up 23 to #15, VW Passat up 18 to #17, Ford Mondeo up 13 to #20 and the Mercedes C-Class up 11 to #25.
