Thanks to Sonico I can share with you for the first time on BSCB official models sales data for Namibia. Disappointing figures for the new car market in Namibia in December, down 16% on November to 887 registrations, split into 419 Passenger Cars and 468 Commercial Vehicles. These monthly figures are roughly 25% down on the monthly average for 2012 so 2013 could be a difficult year for new vehicle sales in the country. The Toyota Hilux is officially the best-selling model in Namibia in November with 160 sales and a huge 18% market share, followed by the VW Polo Vivo at 60 units and 6.8% share. Other big sellers include the Chevrolet Utility with 49 sales and 5.5% and the Ford Ranger at 37 units and 4.2%.
