Venezuela Full Year 2012: Chevrolet Aveo leads, Cruze up to #3

The Venezuelan new car market is up 8% year-on-year in 2012 to 130,533 registrations and the Chevrolet Aveo manages to top the models ranking for the 8th year in a row albeit with sales down 2% to 16,542 units and 12.7% share. The Ford Fiesta stays #2 but drops 28% on 2011 to 7,691 sales and 5.9% while the Chevrolet Cruze hops onto the podium for its first full year in market at 7,281 units and 5.6%, up 290% on 2011… The Ford F350 is up 22% but down one spot to #4 and the Mitsubishi Lancer is up 40% and one rank to #5.

Other great performers in Venezuela this year include the Toyota Corolla up 36% to #6, the Ford Explorer up 56% to #7, Toyota Fortuner up 29% to #9, Jeep Cherokee up 35% to #10, Toyota Land Cruiser up to #12, Chevrolet NPR up 98% to #14, Mazda BT-50 up to #18 and leader in November, VW SpaceFox up to #25 and the Civetchi/DongFeng S30 landing directly at #40 with 693 sales and 0.5% share, even taking the lead of the overall ranking in December…
