Japan May 2012 by version: Toyota Aqua & Honda NBOX on top

NOTE  This is not yet sales figures for June in Japan but a more detailed look at overall May sales of both passenger and Kei cars split by version, to see how the different versions of the Toyota Prius and Honda Fit perform among other things. At this little game the Toyota Aqua is a winner again with 20,091 units sold, just above the Honda NBOX at 19,354 with the Daihatsu Tanto/Exe at 13,571 sales. In fact the Top 4 models is unchanged on last month with the Suzuki Wagon R taking the 4th spot again.

Further down, the Daihatsu Mira is up 3 spots to #5, the Toyota Prius is stable at #6 with 11,087 units as is the Prius Alpha at #9 with 9,702 sales. The Honda Fit is down 3 ranks to #8 with 10,308 units and the Fit Shuttle is down 4 to #26. Notice also the Honda StepWGN up 14 spots to #15, the Mazda Demio up 9 to #18, the Toyota Corolla zoning out at a very low #30, the Toyota Pixis Space up 31 ranks to #41 and the Subaru Legacy up 18 to #46.
