France LCV June 2012: Peugeot 208 up to #12

The Light Commercial Vehicle is holding surprisingly well in France in June at just -0.9% year-on-year to 38,160 registrations. Halfway through 2012, the year-to-date total stands at 207,361 units, down 8% on 2011. The Renault Kangoo dominates the ranking head and shoulders this month with 3,611 sales and 9.5% ahead of the Fiat Ducato still in great shape at 2,600 units and 6.8% and the Renault Clio with 2,365 sales and 6.2%, the Clio still ranking #2 year-to-date at 7.1% share.
The next four models are positioned exactly as per the 2012 year-to-date ranking: the Renault Master comes 4th, followed by the Citroen Berlingo, Renault Trafic and Peugeot Partner. Excellent month for the Mercedes Sprinter up 3 spots on May to #8 with 1,518 units and 4% share vs. 2.7% year-to-date. The Peugeot 208 is up 7 ranks to #12 with 1,045 sales and 2.7%. As the 208 LCV has not been released yet, these sales are made by companies buying the passenger car version for work purposes.
Other good performers this month include the VW Caddy up 9 spots to #28, the Iveco 35S13 up 4 to #30, the Fiat Fiorino up 6 to #39, the Ford Ranger up 9 to #52, the Nissan Juke up 18 to #72 and the Renault Koleos up 16 to #78.
