Light Commercial Vehicle sales are down 22% year-on-year in France in May to 31,895 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 169,221 units, down 9% on 2011. The Top 4 best-sellers stay unchanged compared to April: the Renault Kangoo leads with 3,052 sales and 9.6% share, followed by the Fiat Ducato very strong once again at 2,557 units and 8%, the Renault Clio with 2,107 sales and 6.6% and the Renault Master at 1,620 units and 5.1%.
This month we welcome the Peugeot 208 in the ranking: it lands directly at #19 with 450 sales and 1.4% while the 207/206+ is down from #7 and 4.3% in April to #12 and 2.7% this month. The 208 doesn’t have an LCV version yet so these sales are made by companies buying the passenger car model for work purposes. Other good performers include the Ford Transit up to #8 with 1,094 sales and 3.4% share vs. 3% year-to-date, the Peugeot Boxer up to #9 at 1,055 units and 3.3% vs. 2.7%, the Goupil G3 up 31 spots to #60, the Citroen C5 up 22 to #71, the Citroen DS4 up 9 to #76 and the Peugeot 508 up to #79.
